For most consumer products, eg. foods, food supplements, herbs, pharmaceuticals,
drugs, cosmetics, etc., we provide chemical analysis, physical testing,and
microbiological services to determine if a product meets your quality control (QC)
specifications.
Testing and quantitative assay for compliance with FDA guidelines can be provided
for foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. We routinely conduct QC analyses using
HPLC, TLC, GC/FID, UV/VIS, GC/MS for the presence and the required levels of
active ingredients in OTC and prescription products. For heavy metals we analyze
using the USP procedure that includes ICP and AAS.
For all types of foods, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics, we can determine the
presence and level of preservatives.
For foods, nutritional supplements and vitamin/mineral products, we can conduct
quantitative assays for the levels of all vitamins and minerals as well as the nutrition
facts information required for most of these product.
For all types of foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, we determine the shelf-life,
or stability either real-time or accelerated.
For pharmaceutical products in capsule, caplet, or pill form, we can determine
disintegration times.
In some cases, we can visit your manufacturing facility, inspect for HACCP
compliance, take microbiological swabs of preparation areas, and take samples of
your final products or individual ingredients for QC compliance testing.
Our laboratory conducts periodic internal checks on our precision and accuracy for
certain analytical procedures. For our own quality control (QC) checks on our
procedures, we use multiple samples, percent recoveries, internal standards, and
outside laboratory services. For quality assurance (QA), we have a laboratory QA
manual followed by personnel. Also we have had some training in ISO 9001-2000
and in GLP.
